#12: How to Hire a Virtual Assistant with Twanna Gill

Got help?

For episode 12, I talk with Twanna Gill, business and project strategist of Empress business solutions.   Today, Twanna and I discussed her business journey,  how she became a virtual assistant (VA), and how to hire a virtual assistant.  Twanna and I are sharing mistakes and giving tips to help you get the help you need for your business or special project.

Four important points that you’ll get from this podcast are:

  1. Be specific on what you need help with and where you are struggling.
  2. There will be a learning curve (on boarding and relationship building) with the your VA.
  3. You need to understand your VA’s integrity because they will represent you behind the scenes. It is important to know that you can trust the person.
  4. When you decide to work with a VA, always start with an easy task and then build up to the hard stuff.

I have sought out a virtual assistant. They are very important, but I think it can be difficult to decide when you really need one. Many virtual assistants may not always follow through as needed with the goals and strategies for their business.

    Great podcast

It can be difficult to find a good one. You definitely have to interview them to learn more about their specific skills. Thanks for listening!
